Yinchuan is now the permanent site for the China-Arab Expo, a platform for cultural and economic exchanges between China and Arab countries. The area was home to Shuidonggou, China’s earliest paleolithic site, which dates to 30,000 years ago. Rock arts in the Helan mountains, Ningxia Tan sheep, lycium barbarum together with the Yellow River feature Yinchuan with south-Chinatype scenery. Yinchuan Hedong International Airport operates over 10 international flights to/off Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Nagoya, Osaka, Bangkok and Seoul. Direct flights connect Yinchuan to almost all major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong in China.
