Virtual Presentation Guideline
All speakers in the virtual IEEE-NEMS 2020 must submit their pre-recorded presentation videos (ORAL) or posters & pre-recorded poster previews (POSTER) that will be available on-demand during the conference. The slides and presentations must be in English.

- Prepare presentation videos or posters & pre-recorded poster previews based upon the instructions below and submit by the deadline!
Instructions for ORAL Presentations
All speakers in oral sessions must submit their pre-recorded videos by September 14, 2020 using the following tips/requirements:

Talk durations:
- Plenary Lectures are scheduled for 45 minutes (including 5 min Q&A) each.
- Keynote Lectures are scheduled for 35 minutes (including 5 min Q&A) each.
- Invited Sessions are scheduled for 20 minutes (including 3-5 min Q&A) each.
- Regular Sessions are scheduled for 15 minutes (including 3 min Q&A) each.

Tips/requirements to prepare Pre-recorded Videos:
NOTE: For regular sessions (i.e., ORAL presentations), pre-recorded videos should be less than 12 min!

- Use “Widescreen” format, with the 16:9 aspect ratio, to utilize the full screen (the standard 4:3 format will work but it will not fill the entire screen when in presentation mode)
- Slides will need to have audio narration embedded. NOTE: Follow this step-by-step instruction on “recording your audio in PowerPoint”
- Conference will only accept the MPEG-4 (.mp4) format and export the presentation as an MPEG-4 (.mp4) file. NOTE: Follow this step-by-step instruction on “exporting a PowerPoint file to .mp4”
- The MPEG-4 file size must be less than 50 Mb
- NOTE: If you’re using a web-based presentation program, such as Prezi, Slideshare, or Google Slides, you will need to use “screen capture software” to record your screen and presentation narration. Also, you may use Zoom to prepare your video. Be sure to export your video, including all audio, as an .mp4 movie file format for submission.

Instructions for POSTER Presentations
All speakers in poster sessions must submit their posters & pre-recorded poster previews by September 14, 2020 using the following tips/Requirements:

POSTER: Tips/requirements to prepare Posters

- Make your poster 44” x 44” (112cm x 112cm)
- Posters must be exported PDF format for submission although posters can be created in a number of software applications
- The PDF file size must be less than 50 Mb
- Use easy-to-read type. Suggested minimum font sizes are: (a) Title: 36 point type; (b) Author list: 24 point type; and (c) Body: not smaller than 14 point type

POSTER PREVIEW: Tips/requirements to prepare Pre-recorded Poster Previews
Duration: 5 min

- The 5-minute preview video can include a few narrated slides or be a video of you expanding on a few key points of your poster presentation
